Paul Hastings Adds Powerhouse Private Equity and Real Estate Team in London

May 11, 2026

London (May 11, 2026) – Further strengthening its premier global private equity platform and preeminent, full-service real estate practice, Paul Hastings today announces the addition of a premier team led by Lyndsey Laverack and Jade Williams‑Adedeji in London, including partners Jack Mayall and José Maria Rodrigues, along with their broader team.

Named Next Generation Partners for Commercial Property: Investment by Legal 500, Laverack and Williams‑Adedeji bring significant private equity and real estate experience with clients that have included Apollo, Fortress Investment Group, KKR and Welltower, the largest REIT in the US. Joining from Covington & Burling, they previously practiced together at Sidley Austin. The team’s arrival continues the strong momentum of Paul Hastings’ London office, which has achieved revenue growth of 25% year over year and 90% over the past three years.

“We are experiencing strong demand from private equity clients investing across real estate assets,” said firm Chair Frank Lopez. “Lyndsey, Jade and the broader team bring a powerful combination of private equity and real estate experience spanning a range of sectors. Their arrival underscores our continued commitment to expanding our global transactional capabilities and driving the growth of our premier private equity, corporate and real estate practices in London.”

With an international practice spanning Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Laverack focuses on private equity and cross-border M&A. She regularly represents private equity and other investment funds and REITs on transactions in privately held companies, including acquisitions and disposals, control and minority equity investments, and complex joint ventures. Laverack has experience across a range of sectors, particularly in corporate real estate and infrastructure investments.

Williams‑Adedeji led Covington’s London real estate practice and covers the full cycle of real estate ownership and investment. She has experience in both debt and equity investments, as well as direct asset acquisition and disposal. She regularly represents REITs and private equity and investment funds as well as a variety of private companies. Her practice covers all asset classes, including senior housing, healthcare and social infrastructure, retail, hospitality, PBSA, sports stadia, offices, data centers and renewable energy.

The team follows the announcement of a series of strategic lateral hires in London in recent months, including the strengthening of the London M&A and PE platform with the arrival of Ferish Patel from Cooley and the arrival of Mark Zerdin from Slaughters. In addition, the upcoming arrival of Brad Weyland (High Yield) and partner arrivals across a variety of practices: Jenny Doak, Alicia Osei and Catherine Richardson (Tax); Sally Evans (Antitrust); Thomas Picton (Structured Credit); David Richardson (Investment Funds); Jennifer Passagne (Fund Finance); and Stephen Diosi (Employee Benefits and Incentives).

“Paul Hastings’ strong private equity and M&A global platform is widely recognized for advising on some of the most complex and high‑value transactions globally,” said Laverack. “I am excited to join a firm with such strong momentum in London and internationally.”

“What particularly stands out is the firm’s fully integrated approach, bringing together private equity, M&A and real estate capabilities in a seamless way,” said Williams‑Adedeji. “That alignment creates a compelling platform for our combined practice and for the clients we serve.”

Paul Hastings catapulted 30 places and 16 places, respectively, for global and Europe private equity deals (by volume) in 2026, per Bloomberg. The Private Equity practice and the firm more broadly continue to gain market share with a wide range of work for leading asset managers, including Apollo, Ares, Atlas, Blackstone, Brookfield, Carlyle, EQT, Fortress, Francisco Partners, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Great Hill, H.I.G. Capital, KKR, Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, Sixth Street Partners, Symphony Technology Group and TPG.
