MacKenna Alvarez is an associate in the Employment Law practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

MacKenna earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2025. During law school, she served as an extern at the Federal Trade Commission and worked in the Berkeley Policy Advocacy Clinic, where she assisted in drafting and advancing legislation in the California Legislature. Prior to attending law school, MacKenna taught U.S. History and English at a middle school in New York. She received her B.S. in English Education and Public Policy, magna cum laude, from New York University in 2019. MacKenna is admitted to practice law in California.
