Overview
Jorge Juan Ballen is an associate in the Corporate practice of Paul Hastings, and a member of the Securities and Capital Markets and Latin America practices. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
His practice focuses on representing and advising financial institutions and corporate issuers in public and private cross-border debt and equity capital market transactions. In addition, he advises Latin American issuers on their ongoing SEC reporting obligations and regulatory and compliance matters under the U.S. securities laws. Jorge Juan is fluent in Spanish and has a minimum professional proficiency in Portuguese.
Mr. Ballen received his LL.M. in Business Law from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He earned his bachelor's degree in Law from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. Mr. Ballen is admitted to practice law in New York and Colombia.
