SK ie technology Debuts in US$2 Billion IPO on the Korea Exchange

Seoul – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm has represented J.P. Morgan, Mirae Asset, Credit Suisse and Korea Investment & Securities as underwriters in the US$2.0 billion (KRW 2.25 trillion) global offering and listing of SK ie technology Co., Ltd. on the Korea Exchange. The transaction has marked the largest IPO in South Korea since 2017.

SK ie technology, a subsidiary of SK Innovation, is a leading South Korean manufacturer of lithium-ion battery separators and flexible cover windows.

Paul Hastings’ leading Korea practice has advised on several landmark capital markets transactions in recent years, including Hanwha Systems’ US$345 million Korea IPO in 2019, Kakao Corp.’s US$1 billion GDR offering in 2018, and ING Life Insurance Korea’s US$977 million IPO in 2017, the second largest IPO in Korea in that year.
