Paul Hastings Represents China Everbright International Limited in IFC Term Loan

Hong Kong (June 6, 2013) - Paul Hastings, a leading global law firm, announced today that it represented China Everbright International Limited (“Everbright International”), a Hong Kong-listed company focusing on the development of environmental protection businesses, in relation to its US$70 million term loan facilities from International Finance Corporation (“IFC”) to a wholly-owned subsidiary of Everbright International engaging in the business of waste water treatment and other types of water projects.

The proceeds of the loan will be used to finance the construction and operation of waste water treatment plant, reusable water treatment plant and water purification plant in various cities in the PRC.

Paul Hastings previously advised Everbright International in connection with a US$100 million “B-loan” disbursed by Asian Development Bank (ADB) as “lender on record” with six commercial banks funding the loan as participants, and a US$100 million “A-loan” disbursed by ADB to a wholly-owned subsidiary of Everbright International.
