Paul Hastings Involved in the Second Largest LBO in France in 2013 Advising Astorg Partners on the Sale of OGF to Pamplona

November 08, 2013

Paris – Paul Hastings advised Astorg Partners in connection with the sale of OGF, a French leader in funeral services, to funds managed by Pamplona Capital Management, an investment company. This transaction was the second-largest LBO acquisition in France in 2013.

Astorg Partners is an independent French Capital Investment firm that manages €2 billion and invests in manufacturing or service companies, very often family-owned, with high growth potential.  Astorg Partners is known for its entrepreneurial culture, high proactivity as a result of its short and localized decision-making process, and significant involvement as a shareholder in a portfolio focused on industrial companies.

Astorg Partners was also advised by Ashurst and Cravath Swaine & Moore on financing issues.

Pamplona was represented by the Paris and London Offices of Allen & Overy, and the management of OGF, which invested in the transaction, was advised by Scotto & Associés. Clifford Chance represented the banks.

The Paul Hastings team was led by partner Alexis Terray with Sébastien Crépy and Vincenzo Feldmann.
