Paul Hastings European Corporate Practice Builds on Recent Additions with M&A and Capital Markets Partner in Paris

January 28, 2013

Paris, France (January 28, 2013) - Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that David Revcolevschi has joined the firm as a partner with the Corporate practice in Paris. Mr. Revcolevschi is a prominent M&A and capital markets partner, with a significant cross-border practice. He joins from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a partner.

As the outlook for 2013 is more positive and confidence to undertake significant merger and acquisitions is progressively coming back, Davids expertise adds to our transactional strength in Paris. He will reinforce our capability to assist issuers and investment banks in M&A and capital markets transactions, said Olivier Deren, chair of the Paris office. He joins a group of corporate lawyers of the same generation in our Paris office, who are increasingly dynamic in domestic and cross-border private equity and M&A transactions, he added.

Davids hire advances our goal to strengthen our European Corporate practice, said Elizabeth Noe, chair of the Corporate practice. His practice will dovetail nicely with our recent London and Milan hires and reinforces our cross-border strength throughout Europe and with Hong Kong, she added.

Mr. Revcolevschi specializes in mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings, with a particular emphasis on international offerings of equity securities. He advises both in France and internationally companies on M&A and tender offers, and more generally on stock exchange and securities laws matters, and represents issuers and underwriters in IPOs, privatizations and equity and equity-linked offerings.

Prior to joining Freshfields in 2007, David served as European counsel to Skadden Arps Paris. He holds Masters degrees in business law, public law and in history of international relations from the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and was a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Law School.

Mr. Revcolevschis arrival continues the expansion of the European Corporate practice, with James Cole joining the Securities & Capital Markets and Hedge Fund practices in London, in January, Lorenzo Parola joining the Energy and Corporate practices in Milan in January, Neil Hamilton joining the Finance and Investment Management practices in London, in October and Ugo Giordano joining the Finance and Capital Markets practices in London, in July.
