Paul Hastings Enhances Global Projects Group With The Addition Of Export-Import Bank Chief Operating Officer And General Counsel Peter Saba To The Washington DC Office

Washington, DC (July 6, 2005) -- Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Peter Saba, previously Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank), as Of Counsel to the Global Projects Group resident in the Washington DC office. Mr. Saba specializes in international infrastructure project development and finance, and international trade, investment and finance.

Peter Saba served at Ex-Im Bank for the past four years, where he was Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President for Legal Affairs and General Counsel and chaired the Bank’s Task Force on Iraq Reconstruction. Prior to serving at  Ex-Im Bank, Mr. Saba specialized in international project development and financing with Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom. Mr. Saba also served at the U.S. Department of Energy from 1989 to1993, first for two years as Counselor to the Deputy Secretary, and then for two years as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Domestic and International Energy Policy.  Mr. Saba is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law Center, where he teaches a course in International Business Transactions.
