Paul Hastings Employment Attorney Barbara Johnson To Participate in Minority Corporate Counsel Association Panel

Washington D.C. (March 15, 2005) - -  Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that Barbara Johnson, partner in the Washington D.C. office, will be featured as part of a panel discussion at the Minority Corporate Counsel Association's (MCCA) Fourth Annual CLE Expo, to be held March 16-18 in Chicago.

The panel, entitled "Proactive Strategies That Win Employment Lawsuits," is included as part of the "Labor & Employment Law Track" and will share strategies and tactics that have been successfully implemented by other employers in day-to-day employment decision-making, pre-litigation disputes, and at early stages of employment litigation to win cases and drive down costs.

MCCA's goal in hosting the 4th Annual CLE Expo is to build bridges of opportunity by bringing together the best and brightest legal talent, with a special emphasis on talented minority and women attorneys who will share their expertise on their substantive legal practice areas.

Barbara Johnson is a nationally known employment jury trial and class action lawyer representing employers.  She regularly tries cases in various state and federal courts, raising issues of race, age, gender and disability discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, and various employment torts. She also provides employment law advice, defends class actions, advises employers on United States Labor Department audits, and handles sexual harassment investigations and lawsuits. In addition to her employment law trials, Ms. Johnson has litigated ERISA, premises liability, toxic tort, environmental racism, and other business tort cases.
