Paul Hastings Continues Securities Litigation Expansion in New York with Partner Addition

July 23, 2013

New York, NY - Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that securities and commercial litigator Shahzeb Lari has joined the firm as a partner with the Litigation practice in New York.

“Adding Shahzeb to our Securities Litigation team represents a further strengthening of our team in this practice area, which has been a top priority for Paul Hastings,” said William Sullivan, global chair of the Litigation practice. “We have made significant investments in this practice and several other key areas of our firm-wide Litigation Department, further expanding the range and depth of expertise we bring to our clients,” he added.

“We are pleased and excited to welcome Shahzeb to the firm.  He rejoins Doug Flaum, a top litigator with an impressive track record advising leading global financial institutions and corporations on their most important litigation matters, who joined us in June,” said Barry Sher, chair of the Securities Litigation practice. “The addition of Shahzeb and Doug, and their combined experience in representing these clients at the highest levels, confirms our commitment to this practice,” he added.

Mr. Lari primarily focuses his practice on the litigation of corporate and commercial disputes, with an emphasis on securities, shareholder and antitrust class action litigations, corporate governance matters and other complex business disputes. He has also frequently represented clients in a wide range of real estate litigation.

Mr. Lari joins from Fried Frank LLP, where he was a partner with the Securities and Shareholder Litigation practice.
