Paul Hastings Continues Expansion of Global Capital Markets Practice with Addition of Corporate Partner Joe Sevack in Hong Kong

Hong Kong (May 8, 2006) – Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that Joe Sevack has joined as a partner in the Corporate Department, resident in the Hong Kong office. Sevack’s practice focuses on sophisticated equity and debt capital markets transactions.

Sevack has expertise in SEC-registered and Rule 144A/Reg S equity, high-yield bond, convertible bond, and floating rate note offerings (including the global component of Hong Kong stock exchange listed offerings). His practice has included extensive representation of both issuers and underwriters in a wide variety of equity and debt capital markets transactions, including NASDAQ, NYSE and Hong Kong and Singapore stock exchange listings. A significant portion of these transactions have involved issuers from Hong Kong, China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines and elsewhere in Southeast Asia.

For the past six years, Sevack has practiced at Freshfields in Hong Kong. Previously, he spent eight years at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York and Hong Kong, where he played a leading role in both U.S. and international transactions. Sevack is a member of the State Bar of New York and is a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong.
