Paul Hastings Bolsters International IP Practice With Addition of Prominent Patent Litigation Lawyers in New York

New York, NY (September 12, 2006) -  Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that Joseph O'Malley and Bruce Wexler, previously at Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto LLP, one of the leading IP boutiques in New York, have joined the New York office of Paul Hastings as partners.  O'Malley and Wexler are leading patent litigators representing brand name pharmaceutical and chemical companies, such as Pfizer, Wyeth,  Eisai, Altana and Sankyo.

O'Malley was ranked as one of the top intellectual property attorneys in New York in the 2005 and 2006 editions of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. With a B.S. in chemical engineering, he worked as a Chemical Engineer in DuPont's Engineering Department for seven years supervising the design and construction of new chemical and pharmaceutical processing facilities.

Wexler holds a law degree from New York University and a Physics degree from Rensselaer.  He is a former law clerk to the Honorable Glenn L. Archer, Jr., Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  Mr. Wexler handles patent litigation in a broad array of complex technical fields.
Mr. Wexler and Mr. O'Malley won the 2004 Burton Award for Legal Writing.
