Partner Donna Melby Honored by the National Association of Women Judges for Advancing Opportunities for Women in Law

New York – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that Employment Law and Litigation partner Donna M. Melby has been honored with the 2020 Florence K. Murray award by the National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ).

The Florence K. Murray Award honors one member of the bar who, by example or otherwise, has influenced women to pursue legal careers, opened doors for women attorneys, or advanced opportunities for women within the legal profession. The award will be presented later this month at the NAWJ’s annual meeting.

Ms. Melby is one of the nation’s premier business trial attorneys. Honored every year since 2002 as one of California’s “Top Women Lawyers”, and repeatedly as “Top Labor and Employment Lawyers” and “Top 100 Lawyers” by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal and as one of the “Most Influential Lawyers” in the U.S. by the National Law Journal, Donna is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the International Society of Barristers, the Litigation Counsel of America and the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.  She has successfully tried multiple cases to jury verdict in state and federal courts across the country, international and domestic arbitrations, as well as court trials across a broad range of complex civil and employment-related cases. Her practice includes class and individual actions, employee mobility, whistleblower, race discrimination and all discrimination matters, sexual harassment, hostile work environment, contract, conspiracy, Equal Pay Act and complex business litigation of all types.
