Former Supreme Court Clerk Matthew Stowe Joins Paul Hastings in Washington D.C.

Washington, D.C. (Oct. 5, 2006) - Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that Matthew Stowe, a former law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, has been named Of Counsel in the firm's Litigation Department, resident in the Washington, D.C. office.

Mr. Stowe served as a law clerk for Justice O'Connor from 1997 to 1998 and a law clerk for Judge J. Michael Luttig from 1996-97. Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Mr. Stowe served as the Deputy Solicitor General of the State of Texas, where he represented the State and its officials in civil appeals, planned appellate litigation strategies and argued several cases before the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
