CMB International Participates in Hong Kong's Largest Rights Issue in 2015

Hong Kong - Paul Hastings, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm represented CMB International Capital Limited (“CMB International”) as joint underwriter, joint global coordinator, joint bookrunner and financial advisor in Fosun International Limited’s ("Fosun International") US$1.5 billion rights issue. Fosun International is the largest private-owned conglomerate in China and is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

This marks the largest rights issue and the seventh largest equity refinancing transaction this year in Hong Kong.

Paul Hastings has advised on several significant rights issues over the past five years including; China Construction Bank’s US$9.2 billion rights issue in 2010 (advised the underwriters), Fosun International’s US$631 million rights issue in 2014 (advised the underwriters), Haitong International’s US$340 million rights issue in 2014 (advised the issuer) and Mongolian Mining Corporation’s US$195 million rights issue in 2014 (advised the underwriters).
