China Media Capital Forms Joint Venture with Warner Brothers for New Flagship Movie Studio

Los Angeles and Shanghai – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that it advised China Media Capital in forming a joint venture with Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. to launch a new movie studio. The new movie studio intends to develop and produce a slate of Chinese-language films, including global tent-poles, for distribution around the world, including in China. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions.

The transaction brings together one of the leading movie studios in the world with China’s leading media-focused private equity fund to focus on developing a new movie studio that will develop, produce, market and distribute motion pictures.
