The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposed rule and form amendments that would give public companies the option of filing semiannual reports in lieu of quarterly reports to meet their interim reporting obligations under the federal securities laws.

Senators Introduce AI OVERWATCH Act

Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN) introduced the AI OVERWATCH Act, which prohibits the export of advanced AI chips to foreign adversaries. The legislation is cosponsored by Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Pete Ricketts (R-NE), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
