FinCEN Announces Withdrawals of Proposed Digital Asset Related Rules

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) withdrew proposed rules that would have imposed recordkeeping, verification and reporting requirements on financial institutions related to certain digital assets, specifically convertible virtual currencies. FinCEN also withdrew its proposal addressing convertible virtual currency mixing.
