The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service began delivering a second round of Economic Impact Payments to Americans as part of the implementation of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021.

Sophisticated and Unsophisticated Runs

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York released a report titled “Sophisticated and Unsophisticated Runs.” The report characterizes the run behavior of institutional and retail investors by studying the runs on prime money market funds at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

U.S. Small Business Administration

SBA Extends COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan Application Deadline through December 31, 2021

The U.S. Small Business Administration announced that the deadline to apply for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program has been extended to December 31, 2021. The extension came as a result of the recent COVID-19 relief bill enacted.
