CFPB announces threshold adjustments under TILA (Regulation Z) impacting HOEPA loans and qualified mortgages

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has issued a final rule amending dollar amounts for certain permissible fees under The Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z, the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act of 1994, and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act The CFPB adjusted permissible fees based on the annual percentage change reflected in the Consumer Price Index in effect on June 1, 2022.
