Coping With New U.S. Terrorism Orders Barring Transactions With Entities That Support Terrorism

On September 24, 2001, in the wake of the World Trade Center attack, President Bush signed a new executive order aimed at freezing assets of, and blocking transactions with, entities that support terrorism. The Order identifies 27 persons with whom all financial activities are prohibited, with the prospect of more to follow.
