Certain Exceptions to Subpart F Income Are Extended for Two Additional Years Under The Tax Relief Act of 2010

On December 17, 2010, President Barack Obama signed into law H.R. 4853, the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010 (the Act), extending the Bush tax cuts for all income levels for two years. In addition, the Act extends important exceptions to the Subpart F anti-deferral regime that had expired in 2009 and that are the subject of this client alert.
