The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act goes into effect on January 1, 2012. Retailers and manufacturers who do business in California and whose global annual sales exceed $100 million will be required to disclose, on their websites, their efforts to ensure that their product supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.
