Overview

Mo Nurmohamed is a co-chair of the Global Finance practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s London office, where he co-leads the lender-side practice ranked Band 1 by Chambers UK and described as “the benchmark in the market for lender-side financing work”.

Mo specialises in sophisticated and high-value cross-border acquisition financing, with particular emphasis on matters relating to leverage finance and private equity finance transactions, where he is equally adept at advising on syndicated and private credit financings, representing investment banks, direct lenders and alternative capital providers. His clients include banks, private capital providers and other financial institutions.

Mo has advised on some of the largest and most high-profile financings in Europe in recent years, and draws on this experience, as well as significant time spent on secondment with both J.P. Morgan’s credit team and Deutsche Bank’s leveraged finance team, to help his clients navigate the most complex debt capital structures.

Mo has been described in Chambers 2027 as a “go-to lender lawyer for the most complex leveraged finance transactions” whose “ability to dissect the most complex legal issues and present commercially workable solutions really makes him a standout lawyer in this crowded space”. He has been recognised by industry experts and is currently ranked Band 1 by Chambers UK, as a Leading Partner by Legal 500 and a Market Leader by IFLR 1000. Mo was recognised by Financial News as one of its “Top 50 Most Influential Lawyers” of 2025 and 2026 within the European legal profession.
