Paul Hastings Wins ‘Life Sciences IP Litigation Firm of the Year’ at LSPN Awards USA 2025
May 07, 2025
Paul Hastings won Life Sciences IP Litigation Firm of Year at the LSPN Awards USA 2025.
In addition, Intellectual Property practice co-chair Eric Dittmann was Highly Commended in the Patent Litigator of the Year category. The firm was also Highly Commended for Case of the Year/Impact Case, recognizing our representation of Allergan in Allergan USA v. MSN Laboratories, a precedent-setting case limiting the obviousness-type double patenting doctrine for first-filed, first-issued patents that protect key aspects of blockbuster drug products.
The judges praised Paul Hastings as “a recognized leader in IP litigation in the life sciences space” and described our IP litigators as “strategic, creative, out-of-the-box thinkers [who make] the firm a leading choice for clients needing litigation support in the life science space.” They noted the firm “regularly litigates high-profile and high-stakes patent and trade secret cases and has an impressive list of large pharma and small biotech clients,” as well as “a deep bench from which to pull experienced litigators and attorneys with strong technical backgrounds enabling the firm to represent and secure positive outcomes for clients in complicated and cutting-edge technology areas.”
The awards recognize “excellence, innovation and leadership in life sciences IP,” spotlighting firms “shaping the future of pharmaceutical and biotech patent protection.”
